Brazil opportunity

The region is home to other notable lithium projects, including the Companhia Brasileira de Lítio’s (CBL) Cachoeira mine, which has been producing lithium since 1993; Latin Resources’ expanding Salinas lithium Project; and near-term lithium producer Sigma Lithium’s Grotado Cirilo project.

Located in the Araçuaí Pegmatite District (APD) within the EBPP where the pegmatites are hosted by supracrustal rocks composed of mica schist from the Salina Formation. The rocks are intruded by Neoproterozoic granitic bodies and are a source of volatile mineralizing fluids.

Lithium mineralization needs to be explored for on the Patriota Project and is believed to occur within a halo of pegmatite dikes and apophyses that have formed within the rocks surrounding the Neoproterozoic granitic intrusions. The mineralized pegmatites in the region are dispersed along a complex and crosscutting system of northeast- and northwest-oriented faults that were exploited by the dikes.

Brazil REGION

The APD holds Brazil's largest lithium reserves, most of which are located in Araçuaí, Itinga, and surrounding areas. Within the APD, more than one hundred pegmatitic occurrences are known.

GEOLOGY

The APD is composed of residual pegmatites derived from G4 granitic bodies

The APD are rich in fluids, such as water, silica, alumina, as well as alkali, rare, and other volatile elements. These granitic bodies are responsible for the pegmatites of Araçuaí and Itinga that we see today, which bear lithium minerals, gems, and cassiterite.

HISTORY

The lithium-bearing pegmatites in the Araçuaí region were formed during the final crystallization stages of the granite.

Residual volatile fluids accumulated at the top of the granitic magma chamber and entered the fractures and fault zones of the host rock. These granitic fluids from G4 granite intruded the rock during the Cambrian period between 535 and 490 million years ago.

Patriota Lithium project is located in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The Tenements cover 2,963.7 Hectares in proximity to areas of economically significant lithium deposits in Minas Gerais

The project is located in an underexplored region in southeast Brazil that currently contains 100% of the official lithium reserves.

The region is home to other notable lithium projects, including the Companhia Brasileira de Lítio's (CBL) Cachoeira mine, which has been producing lithium since 1993; Latin Resources' expanding Salinas lithium Project; and near-term lithium producer Sigma Lithium's Grota do Cirilo project.

Prospective for Lithium (Li), Gold (Au) other pegmatite derived minerals such as tantalite, columbite and beryl.
Located 60 kilometres west-southwest of the heart of Brazil’s most important lithium district, where Sigma Lithium and CBL are producing lithium from spodumene pegmatites, and Lithium Ionic and Atlas Lithium are developing new lithium projects.
Covers the same metasedimentary rock unit that hosts the lithium deposits in the Sigma, CBL, Ionic and Atlas areas. The Brazli-2Project is located 85 kilometres southwest of Latin Resources’ large lithium deposit (estimated 30 million tonnes of measured and indicated lithium mineral resource, plus 15 million tonnes of inferred lithium mineral resource).
Located in the same district as Sigma Lithium Corp.’s Grota do Cirilo project, the largest lithium hard-rock deposit in the Americas which began producing in April 2023, as well as CBL’s Cachoeira mine, which has been producing lithium since 1991.
Brazil’s Minas Gerais state boasts excellent infrastructure, including access to highways, hydroelectrical grid power, water, and nearby commercial ports.
